Launching new VoIP services is nothing new for companies such as Dellmont Sarl and Betamax. Between the two they have over 30 different VoIP services (see a list of all Betamax/Dellmont VoIP services) and continue to introduce new services every now and then. Recently, Dellmont Sarl introduced another VoIP service – CallingCredit.com. Today, we take take a deeper look at this new service. Since, call rates is their strong point, let us start with their rates.
Call Rates
CallingCredit is a VoIP-based calling card service claiming to offer “lower rates all around the world”. True to its name, CallingCredit offers some really good rates across the globe. Without belaboring the point, let me highlight some of the rates to various destinations. You can check the exact rates for your destination here.

These are some really really good rates. In fact, India mobile for € 0.005 is one of the cheapest calling rates to India we have seen so far. This is lower than other Betamax providers such as Rynga, Jumblo, SmartVoIP, etc. Although you must beware that these cheap rates come at a cost – no customer service.
Features
Using the service is fairly straight forward; you can make calls in two ways – local access number and mobile application. To make calls using the local access number, just enter your numbers that you will use to make calls and then dial the local access number in your country and then dial the destination number in the international format to make calls. Remember, you do not have to enter any PIN number to make calls. To automate this process, you can follow our tutorial to use calling cards smartly so that you do not have to dial the numbers manually.
The other option is to use their mobile application to make calls. This application is nothing more than a automated dialer, it does not use SIP or your data plan. The dialer makes a call to the local access number and then connects you to your destination.
If you are in a country which does not have a local access number, you can use their Phone-to-Phone service. Under this method, you just log onto their website and enter your phone number and the number you want to be dialed and CallingCredit will complete the call. The service will first call you and then the other party. Remember, you will be charged for both the calls – calls made to you and to the destination number.
CallingCredit does not provide SIP support, so you are restricted to using the above methods to make calls. Also, in all the calling methods detailed above, you will be using your local cell phone minutes.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for ways to make cheap calls to various destinations, CallingCredit is definitely a good option. However, you must keep in mid a few things. CallingCredit does not provide SIP support, so you are restricted in terms of using the service. If your country does not have a local access number, this may not be they best service for you. Also, it does not provide free international calling – a common feature among such services.
